All Senior High students and 8th graders are invited to join us for the 30 Hour Famine this Friday (4/27). We’ll be giving up food for 30 hours and staying at the church overnight, as we learn about world hunger in a powerful way. Report to the church at 6pm on Friday night and bring a sleeping bag. We’ll stay over and finish our event around 1:45pm. In order to fast for the 30 hours, please eat a big breakfast before school on Friday, then stop eating at 7am. We’ll fast until 1pm on Saturday. Please bring $5 for our meal at the end.
Don’t miss youth this Wed night as we prepare for the 30 Hour Famine. Steph will be teaching tonight, plus we’ll give the details on our upcoming weekend. If you can’t make it, but still want to do the Famine, please text Jim right away. Thanks!
Come on out this Saturday morning to join with some of our friends at the Towers and Shores in cleaning up the neighborhood. We’ll get to know some residents, help push wheelchairs, and do some simple litter cleanup. It’s part of “Keep Manatee Beautiful” day and following our cleanup, we’ll have pizza, a pool party by the river, and some t-shirts to give away. Meet at FPC at 9:45am and we’ll walk over to the Shores together. We should be done around 1 or 1:30pm, but you can leave sooner if you need to. Shoot Jim a quick text if you’re planning to be there!
Join us THIS WEDNESDAY at the public beach at the end of Manatee on Anna Maria Island at 5pm for some hot dogs, volleyball, and an awesome youth group night on the beach. (Invite a friend!) Jim will be leaving from the church at 4:30pm, so if you need a ride, shoot him a text asap. Thanks!
Human Clue has been postponed, but come ready for a mystery scavenger hunt at the church at 6:30pm. It’s going to be fun! See you tomorrow night.
Also, don’t forget that next Saturday, the 21st, we’re doing our neighborhood cleanup with the Towers and Shores.
There’s no Senior High youth this week, due to the dress rehearsal of the Maundy Thursday program. (Btw, come see Dixon and Jim perform, along with choir and orchestra Thurs night) And there’s no Mid High youth on Sunday, so enjoy Easter with your families.

We have a really fun game we’re dying to try, but because of the Lenten calendar, we need to move it to a later date. So, don’t pay attention to your calendar and plan for a regular youth group next Wednesday (3/28). We’ll reschedule Human Clue for another time.
Grab a bowl of soup at 6:15pm, head Jim talk about his hero and role-model, Judas Iscariot at 7pm, and then come upstairs for some games and hanging out afterwards. Hope to see you tonight
